\"expert<\/a>It’s hard to exercise and stay fit during a lockdown. Especially for our children! Naturally, this affects everyone’s cardiology. Our laboratory, expert in TEE probe repair, takes the opportunity to remind us of the situation in France.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The Falls\u201d<\/span><\/h2>\n

The <\/span>French Cardiology Federation<\/span><\/a> has produced a video in French (see below) called \u201cLes Chutes) (“The Falls”), which highlights the real dangers that children can face during their leisure time. “While playing, running, cycling, climbing, playing football or skateboarding, children can injure themselves. But did you know that this is not where they take the most risks?<\/span><\/p>\n

With Covid-19, this 3-year-old campaign seems terribly topical! At the time, the FFC stated that “in France, less than 50% of children meet the 60 minutes of daily physical activity recommended by the health authorities”. Sadly, this figure of one in two children is likely to be rising.<\/span><\/p>\n

The real dangers lie elsewhere!<\/span><\/h2>\n

In reality, it’s not the bumps and scrapes they get while playing football, cycling or skateboarding that are really serious. As the campaign explains, it is “sitting still – your child is more at risk”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recommendations and consequences<\/span><\/h2>\n

The World Health Organisation recommends 60 minutes of physical activity a day for young people aged 5 to 17 to reduce cardiovascular risk. Our laboratory, which is an expert in ETO lead repair, has already addressed this issue. In 40 years, <\/span>the cardiovascular capacity of children has decreased by 25%<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A campaign… and others<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is not the first time the French Federation of Cardiology has done this. In fact, since this campaign, the Federation has already produced other humorous actions… But the message remains the same: move more! Our laboratory, expert in TEE probe repair, would like to share with you this clip called “#OhMyDog”, which you can see below. It reads: “He drools, he sheds, but he can save your life!”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
